What is Epitalon?

Epitalon (also known as Epithalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic peptide studied in the field of anti-aging research. It is an analogue of the natural peptide Epithalamin, produced by the pineal gland (epiphysis) in the brain.

This peptide is particularly studied for its possible effect on telomerase, an enzyme responsible for the stability and lengthening of telomeres. Telomeres are found at the ends of chromosomes and protect the genetic material of cells. With age, these structures shorten, which is associated with the process of biological aging.
